Cyber Security Is The Practice Of Protecting Systems, Networks, And Programs From Cyberattacks
Cyber Security |
Cyber Security in the computing industry relates to both
physical security and Cyber Security. In the context of protecting devices,
networks, data, programmes, and confidential information against unwanted
access, damage, and attack, Cyber Security refers to a framework of
technologies, procedures, and processes. Security in the computing industry
relates to both physical security and Cyber Security. Enterprises can use Cyber
Security tools to assist stop malicious cyberattacks. Due to a greater reliance
on computer and internet systems, Cyber Security has grown in significance.
Additionally, the proliferation of wireless connections and smart gadgets has
made Cyber Security a necessity in many different enterprises. Businesses use Cyber
Security products and solutions to safeguard their important data against
security lapses caused by cyberwarfare, cyberterrorism, and cyberespionage.
The relevance of Cyber Security has recently increased due to the rising use of cloud-based services for various workloads, including data backups, CRM, email services, ERP, and collaboration services. Services delivered via the cloud are often less expensive because no IT infrastructure needs to be installed. Additionally, cloud deployment might result in software vulnerabilities and make it simple for unauthorised individuals to access. As a result, many businesses are concentrating on implementing Cyber Security solutions in order to protect their cloud-based workloads from potential cyberattacks. For instance, IBM Corporation introduced Watson for Cyber Security in February 2017. This augmented intelligence technology is intended to improve cognitive security in operation centres.
Organizations are encouraged to
embrace Cyber Security solutions in
order to reduce or avoid assaults as a result of the growing trend of
digitalization, which is predicted to increase the likelihood of cyber threats
and attacks. The need for multichannel integration and different sensitive
client interfaces has increased due to digitization. As a result, leading
companies are implementing sophisticated Cyber Security safeguards to safeguard
information and the entire IT infrastructure.
For instance, in December 2016,
Cisco Systems Inc. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the
Government of India to work on Cyber Security threats in India, which is in
line with the government initiative to promote digitization in the country.
This MoU was in collaboration with the Indian Computer Emergency Response Team
(CERT-In), a government organisation under the Ministry of Electronics and IT.
