It is used in the treatment of cancer patients who have no other means of replacing damaged cells and tissues and is also used to treat tissue damage that has resulted from severe burns. The tissue of these patients is freezing at low temperatures to prevent the growth of cancer cells or tissue damage that could result from the growth. This technique is also commonly used in the treatment of spinal injuries. Cryopreservation Equipment have been developed extensively and are widely used in research labs. The most common types of cryopreservation equipment are the cryogenics machines. These equipment allow medical professionals or scientists to preserve the sample at very specific temperatures. Thus, such cryogenic equipment are widely used in medical laboratories around the world.

Cryopreservation has several advantages over other methods. The preservation of the body is often faster and more efficient than the preservation of tissue through refrigeration or frozen diets. The materials that cryogenic substances retain are also frequently less expensive than those that tissue will retain. Moreover, it is more reliable than some other techniques.
