Candidiasis is one of the most common skin infection affects millions of people around the globe
Candidiasis is an overgrowth of a yeast (a kind of yeast) known as Candida albicans. Candida normally lives in the body (usually in moist areas like the mouth, vagina, gut, and throat) and occasionally on human skin without causing any health problems. Occasionally Candida can overgrow and cause an illness when the internal environment in the vagina changes slightly, for instance, if a woman wears too-tight clothing or becomes ill with some other ailment. When Candida grows out of control, it becomes a fungal infection. Many people may have this infection, but not necessarily even know it; the symptoms of Candidiasis tend to be mild, and people tend to think they have a more mundane, harmless yeast infection when in fact it has advanced into a fungal infection.
It can become systemic when Candida circulates through the entire body. A yeast infection, also known as vaginal Candidiasis, is an extremely persistent fungal infection that causes severe itching, irritation, and discharge of the vagina. Female candida infection affects more than 3 out of every four women at some stage in their lives. Many women have experienced at least two episodes in a single year. Although vaginal infection is not considered to be dangerous or contagious, it can cause discomfort and embarrassment for many women.
Vaginal yeast infections are common in women of all ages; however, they are more common in pre-and post-menopausal women who undergo hormone replacement therapy or antibiotic use. Besides the fact that it is caused by an imbalance in hormonal levels, it is also associated with other factors such as diabetes, poor diet, obesity, and uncontrolled diabetes. These factors make it difficult for the body to control its metabolism and acidity level. As a result, Candidiasis can develop into various types of vaginal yeast infections. The most common ones include oral thrush, vaginal odor, and skin yeast infections.
